2021 James M. Stevens Memorial Scholarship

Brief Description:

The James M. Stevens Memorial Scholarship was established by his parents to honor their son, who died in May 2018.  James, autistic from birth, was an exceptional student, graduating from Bethel High School and graduating with honors from Thomas Nelson Community College.  This scholarship recognizes deserving students who have persevered to overcome challenges and have impressed their teachers with their ability to succeed.  As a way of recognizing the tireless efforts in helping their students succeed, teachers both nominate candidates and select the awardees.
